NORCE welcomes you to a conference that brings together researchers and industry experts in algae physiology and biotechnology to share the latest advances across fundamental and applied research. 

The conference fee includes lunch, reception and dinner for day 1, and lunch and site visits for day 2. Please let us know in the registration form which activities you will attend.

Hotel recommendations

Accommodation is not included in the fee. We encourage you to book a hotel in Bergen as soon as possible. Below you will find some recommendations. Discount booking codes for rooms in hotels indicated below are available for registrants and you will be provided with it once you finalise your registration. Please consider there are only a limited number of rooms available with discounts and we cannot guarantee they will be available for everyone

Site visits

On day 2 (15 October), you can choose between two site visits. You may attend only one, so please select your preference below. Bus transport to and from the conference venue will be provided. If your preferred visit is full, we'll assign you to the alternative, so we can't guarantee everyone their first choice. Allocation is first-come, first-served, so responding early gives you the best chance of securing your preference. Excursions run approximately 13:00–17:30. 

Visit 1 - National Algaepilot Mongstad (NAM)

Visit our pilot facility for microalgae cultivation and bioprocess development. The facility is owned by the University of Bergen (UiB) and operated in close collaboration with NORCE, supporting research, innovation and scale-up of algae-based technologies.

Visit 2 - Ocean Forest

Visit Ocean Forest, a joint venture between Lerøy Seafood Group and the Bellona Foundation, developing sustainable seaweed cultivation and integrated aquaculture solutions for the blue bioeconomy.

1. Refund Policy

Refunds requested more than 30 days before NAS2026 start date are eligible for a 50% refund. Refunds requested within 30 days of NAS2026 start date are non-refundable. All transaction and bank processing fees related to registration or refunds will be covered by the participant. All fees must be paid in Norwegian kroner (NOK), and any currency conversion fees will be charged by the participant’s bank or payment provider.

2. Liability Disclaimer

I acknowledge that participation in NAS2026 is at my own risk.

NORCE Research AS (NORCE) assumes no liability for any direct or indirect damages or losses related to participation, including but not limited to personal injury, property loss, travel disruptions, technical issues, program changes, or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.

By registering, I agree that NORCE cannot be held responsible for any such losses or expense

3. I have read and understood NORCE's privacy policy on collection and processing personal data https://www.norceresearch.no/en/about-us/privacy-data-protection-norce. The organizer can store requested personal data for use in connection with the NAS2026 event. The personal information will only be used in connection with this event and will be deleted afterwards.
