What does an event booking system cost in the UK?
Pricing varies a lot in this market, and it is worth looking closely. Most UK event booking systems charge either a monthly subscription or a per-ticket fee, often both. Many systems charge £25 to £200 per month with setup costs on top. Others advertise no fixed costs and low variable fees, but add hidden charges that only show up when you read the small print.
etsReg charges only a per-booking transaction fee, with no monthly cost, no setup fee and no annual contract. Free events with free signups carry zero cost.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. LetsReg has no setup fee, no annual contract and no charge for free events. The standard plan has no monthly subscription, and monthly fees only apply if you’ve requested advanced features or have a custom Enterprise agreement. Customer support is included at no extra cost. The only cost on the standard plan is a small transaction fee on paid bookings, taken when the participant pays.
How quickly do organisers get paid out?
Organisers receive payouts weekly via Stripe, the same payment infrastructure used by Shopify, Amazon and Microsoft. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported as standard. Payouts arrive in your business account every week, not held back until after the event.
Do I need a contract to use LetsReg?
No. LetsReg has no annual contract, no minimum commitment and no setup fee. You sign up, run your event, and only pay a transaction fee on paid bookings. Cancel or pause at any time without notice.
Is LetsReg cheaper than Eventbrite?
Yes, in most cases. LetsReg charges £1 plus 3.9% per paid booking, while Eventbrite charges 6.95% plus £0.59 per paid ticket sold in the UK.
On a £25 booking, that works out to £1.98 with LetsReg compared to £2.33 with Eventbrite. Free events are free on both platforms.
LetsReg pays out weekly via Stripe rather than 5 to 7 days after the event, which matters if you need cashflow before your event runs.
What payment methods do participants use?
Participants pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay during signup. Payments are processed by Stripe, with funds paid out to organisers weekly. All payment methods are included in the standard pricing. There are no extra charges for Apple Pay or Google Pay.
